One year since the October 7th massacre | Rabbi Grossman: “Despite the enormous challenge, difficulty and grief, together, we will build, grow and bring about a renewal and victory”
A year has passed since the day our country was flooded with unrelenting sorrow and pain. A year of longing for those who we have lost and prayer for the return of all the hostages and all of our soldiers, safe and sound.
When the war broke out, Migdal Ohr, under the leadership of Israel Prize Recipient, Rabbi Yitzchak David Grossman, launched the Magen Israel Campaign, established to provide assistance in times of national crisis.
Rabbi Grossman said: “Very quickly, we understood that we were at war, and we needed to take action quickly! We immediately enlisted to help the bereaved families, victims of the massacre, evacuated southern residents, assisted IDF soldiers and any citizen in need of help.”
The Rabbi added: “It’s been a full year that the best of our sons are fighting for their homeland. A year in which our brothers and sisters are withering away in the Hamas tunnels. As our hearts bleed and we are in pain, the entire nation has united to expel the heinous enemy. Many people volunteered, many went to battle, each one of us enlisted in order to protect the borders of the country and the resilience of Israel’s society. We are the eternal nation! This is the beautiful Israel.
We have experienced crises and have always overcome them together. Despite the enormous challenge, the difficulty and the mourning, together we will build and grow and bring about a revival and victory.”
As Yom Kippur approaches, we pray that the voice of the shofar heralds in, with God’s help, tranquility and quiet in the country. May all of our hostages and soldiers return home healthy in body and soul. Amen.”
We wish the entire Jewish People a better and more blessed year than the one that has passed
A year of tranquility and security, a year of peace, unity and brotherhood.
With God’s help, may all of our soldiers and hostages return home quickly and safely.
Migdal Ohr pupils and Israel Prize Recipient, Rabbi Yitzchak David Grossman wish you a happy and blessed new year – a year of peace and security
Israel Prize Recipient, Rabbi Yitzchak David Grossman: “My dear loved ones, the true partners in the education and rescue of the Migdal Ohr children.

Many families have been hit financially due to the war. As Rosh Hashana approaches, let’s give them a ‘Chag Saveah’
For more than twenty years, the Migdal Ohr Organization has run the Chag Saveah (Full Holiday) for Children Campaign, which distributes thousands of food packages to needy families who cannot afford to prepare a holiday meal.
This year, more than ever before, these families, and others, have been hit financially as a result of the war, and need our help.
As part of this important campaign, Migdal Ohr Organization will deliver food packages for the upcoming holiday to thousands of families. Currently, the organization is running an extensive fundraising campaign at all branches of Shufersal, which has been a partner in this vital campaign for many years.
The organization calls upon the public at large to contribute, to help us reach as many families as possible by providing them with food products for the holiday.
Together, we will give them a Full Holiday!
