A year has passed since the day our country was flooded with unrelenting sorrow and pain.\u00a0 A year of longing for those who we have lost and prayer for the return of all the hostages and all of our soldiers, safe and sound.<\/p>\n

When the war broke out, Migdal Ohr, under the leadership of Israel Prize Recipient, Rabbi Yitzchak David Grossman, launched the Magen Israel Campaign, established to provide assistance in times of national crisis.<\/p>\n

Rabbi Grossman said:\u00a0 \u201cVery quickly, we understood that we were at war, and we needed to take action quickly!\u00a0 We immediately enlisted to help the bereaved families, victims of the massacre, evacuated southern residents, assisted IDF soldiers and any citizen in need of\u00a0 help.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Rabbi added:\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s been a full year that the best of our sons are fighting\u00a0 for their homeland.\u00a0 A\u00a0 year in which our brothers and sisters are withering away in the Hamas tunnels.\u00a0 As our hearts bleed and we are in pain, the entire nation has united to expel the heinous enemy.\u00a0 Many people volunteered, many went to battle, each one of us enlisted in order to protect the borders of the country and the resilience of Israel\u2019s society.\u00a0 We are the eternal nation!\u00a0 This is the beautiful Israel.<\/p>\n

We have experienced crises and have always overcome them together.\u00a0 Despite the enormous challenge, the difficulty and the mourning, together we will build and grow and bring about a revival and victory.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Yom Kippur approaches, we pray that the voice of the shofar heralds in, with God\u2019s help, tranquility and quiet in the country.\u00a0 May all of our hostages and soldiers return home healthy in body and soul.\u00a0 Amen.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
