Life Achievement of Giving Back and Charitable Endeavor with a Love of Man and a Love of Israel

Israel Prize Recipient, Rabbi Yitzchak David Grossman has dedicated his life to children and youth at-risk for the past 50 years. His many years of activity, have offered these children an opportunity to successfully integrate into Israeli society. He has established dozens of educational institutions and frameworks for them, where they receive excellent education, ethics, values and tools for maximizing their latent potential.
His life’s work has saved the futures of thousands of children and youth and led them toward a good and honest path. Over the years, his activity has expanded to welfare and other charitable fields, due to his desire to help every person in need of assistance whoever he or she is.

Our Activity

Educational Institutions and Charitable Enterprises

Migdal Ohr

A national network of educational institutions that has provided an educational framework to thousands of children and youth at-risk for the past 50 years. From preschools to high schools, residential programs and youth villages, where the children receive a supportive home, values-based education and a lot of love.

Zoharim Youth Village

An agricultural youth village for teenagers ages 14-18, who did not find their place in conventional educational frameworks. They, who had opted for living on the street, find an accepting home at the youth village, which restores their faith in themselves and the strength to change their lives.

Ohr Yisraeli

A national youth movement that provides its members with tools they can use to develop and grow stronger, socially and in terms of their values. The movement operates according to the philosophy: “Courteous behavior precedes the Torah” and places an emphasis on education based on values and giving back.

Magen Israel

A charitable enterprise that provides humanitarian aid in time of crisis and states of emergency in the State of Israel. In times of crisis, such as war or pandemic, the aid program is operated, providing assistance to the needy and to populations who are experiencing hardships.

Chag Saveah

This charitable program distributes tens of thousands of food baskets to needy families before the holidays. This important and vital project is led by the children of the Migdal Ohr Organization, together with IDF soldiers, employees at leading companies, members of youth movements and hundreds of other volunteers.
